Gender abuse continues to be a major challenge in Kenya, with over 45% of Kenyan Women lamenting about physical abuse. Environmental Degredation

MF Activity 


MF through media partnership educated the community along River Thange on the Petroleum spill, which occurred in November 2015. The oil spill affected the lives of the community, as River Thange is a source of livelihood. Their health and that of their livestock and crops were put at risk due to the spill. HIV/AIDS Awareness

MF Activity 


MF has conducted HIV/AIDS awareness, testing and mapping in Thange, Kibwezi Constituency, funded by National AIDS Control Council (NACC). Through the Total War Against AIDS project (TOWA), MF held seminars and sensitization sessions to educate the community of HIV/AIDS. Testing was encouraged and the community was encouraged on how to live irrespective of their status. Orphans and Vulnerable Children

MF Activity 1 


Since 2010, MF has been actively involved in the promotion of education for Orphans as well as Vulnerable Children (OVC). This is done through the Mama Silla initiative. MF Directors together with partners has developed a database of children from needy backgrounds. Through well-wishers the children resume their education.
